  • The Siteground Terms of Use say:
"The Template User may use any of the the Company's templates for as many websites as s/he wishes free of charge. In return the Template User agrees to keep the links to the Company's website and the Company's logo that are part of the template."

When you downloaded their free template you would have had to supply your name and contact details, and click to show you agreed to their terms. If you didn't want to accept their terms you really shouldn't have downloaded the template.

Please think carefully before you break their terms by removing their button and link. A lot of work goes into creating templates for Joomla and often the only incentive for anyone to provide a free template is the link back from the sites that use it. If everyone removed those links designers would just stop providing free templates. Ultimately, that hurts all Joomla users.
